Biography

Desmond is a post-doctoral bioinformatician in the Systems Cancer Immunology group. He graduated with MSci and MA (Cantab) degrees in Natural Sciences in 2009, with particular focus on physical, theoretical and biological chemistry, and completed a PhD in the experimental and theoretical characterisation of haemoproteins at the Department of Chemistry (now the Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry), University of Cambridge in 2015. Prior to joining KCL, he served as a core service computational biologist at the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences of LKS Faculty of Medicine, University of Hong Kong. Current research focuses include developing new analysis methods and pipelines for scRNA-Seq, CyTOF and flow cytometry data from large scale immunology projects and multi-omics data integration.
