I graduated in Molecular Biology and Genetics (BSc) in 2010, at Democritus University of Thrace (Greece). I also have an MSc in Molecular and Cellular Immunology from the University of Aberdeen and PhD entitled; ''Ageing analysis of mesenchymal stromal cells for the improvement of stem cell therapies'' supervised by Prof. Alexandra Stolzing, at Loughborough University. Since 2019 I have been working as a Research Associate in the labs of Prof. Georgina Ellison-Hughes and Prof. Francesco Dazzi, at Kings College London. My research programme focuses on understanding the role of mesenchymal stromal cells in resolving inflammation and promote tissue repair after myocardial infarction.
