Dr Frederic Ischebeck-Baum

Fellow of the Sir Michael Howard Centre for the History of War

Biography

Frederic is a Fellow of the Sir Michael Howard Centre for the History of War and former Assistant Director of the KCL's Centre for Defence Studies. His research and expertise include defence and security policy, military strategy, national security, and counter-terrorism. He holds degrees in International Law from Frankfurt University, in International Relations from the University of Saint Andrews, and in War Studies from King’s College London. Frederic is a Visiting Lecturer at Cambridge University and at the German Federal University. In 2017 he held an associate position at the Oxford Changing Character of War Centre. He has lectured at a wide range of high-end political and academic institutions. Frederic is a graduate of the European Security and Defence College.
