Dr Soizick Solman

Biography

Soizick Solman was educated at Paris X (the University of Nanterre) to Doctorat d’Etat level, writing a thesis on Scottish shipbuilding, shipbuilders and working class identity. She is now a specialist in language curriculum design and teaching, and also has a keen interest in clinical Lacanian psychoanalysis and theory.

She taught at King’s from 1993 to 1997, then became Senior Language Advisor in the School of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures at Royal Holloway, University of London, from 1997 to 2008.

She returned to the French Department at King's in September 2008 as Language Director. Soizick was a recipient of the School of Arts & Humanities Teaching Excellence Award in 2011.
