Biography
Tom Wu is a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Health Services & Population Research at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience.
Tom returned to King’s in April 2026 after his previous postdoctoral research post at UCL with the ReSET Project. In his previous post, he helped develop and test a novel school-based preventative intervention for adolescent mental health problems.
His main areas of expertise are structural equation modelling (e.g. moderated- mediation, RI-CLPM, mixture modelling), IRT, and social network analysis, mostly applied in the context of children and young people’s mental health as well as early difficult temperament. Tom is very excited about applying his analytical skills to answer important research questions from the REACH project.
Tom completed his PhD in Psychology at King's College London (supervised by Prof Ted Barker and Prof Barbara Maughan) and has also completed a Masters program in Counselling Psychology at NCTU in Taiwan.
