Biography
Elda received her PhD from University of Dundee guided by Prof. Sir Mike Ferguson. During her PhD she was interested in the surface glycosylation of Leishmania major and Crithidia fasciculata parasites. Her research was focused on the de-novo pathway of D-Arabinose metabolism and the synthesis of the D-Erythroascorbic acid in kinetoplastids. Elda is currently interesting in understanding the glycosylation regulation of the human antibodies during infections and vaccination.
