Biography

Tell us about your career journey from being a student at King's to being in your current role.

I joined King’s in 2020 to pursue an undergraduate degree in Management and French. Having moved from Italy, I really appreciated the welcoming community—even amid the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. I enjoyed combining business with French, as it let me keep building my language skills and spend a year abroad in Paris while developing my business knowledge.

After completing my placement year in France, I returned to London for my final year and graduated in 2024. Soon after, I joined the Bank of England full-time, working in the Financial Market Infrastructure Directorate on crisis management—helping to protect and strengthen the UK’s financial stability.

What's the one thing you enjoy most about your current role?

The Bank of England is an exciting place to work. My role sits at the intersection of supervision and policy, which makes the work varied and intellectually stimulating. I enjoy collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders across the Bank, where critical thinking is key. It’s a role that challenges me daily and gives me a real sense of purpose.

What have been your biggest achievements in business and your career so far?

I’m still at the start of my career, but I see finding a role that aligns with my values and interests as a major achievement. Working at the Bank of England has been rewarding both professionally and personally. I learn from some of the brightest minds in the industry, and each day brings new challenges.

Being trusted with real responsibility early on—working on complex, real-world issues—has helped me grow. Knowing that my work can make a meaningful impact keeps me motivated and inspired.

How did your time at King's help with your career journey?

King’s gave me a strong foundation—academically and professionally. Leading the 'Women in Business' student society helped me shape my leadership style and strengthened my drive to create positive change in my community.

The University’s networking events and career services were also incredibly valuable. They helped me explore different sectors and approach opportunities with confidence.

What is the best piece of advice you have for current King's Business School students on achieving success in their careers?

Make the most of everything the Business School and wider university offer. Your time at King’s isn’t just about lectures and exams—it’s a chance to discover what drives you, develop new skills, and build meaningful relationships.

Join societies, try something that pushes you out of your comfort zone, and stay curious. Don’t worry if your path isn’t linear—every experience shapes your growth. Most importantly, figure out what you enjoy doing and build from there.

What advice would you give to future students thinking about studying at King's Business School?

KBS has a strong community and an incredible location in the heart of London. My advice? Embrace the experience fully—both inside and outside the classroom. Be open to learning from different cultures and perspectives, and take advantage of all the opportunities King’s offers.

The more you put into your time here, the more you’ll take away. And remember to enjoy the journey!
