What are your happiest memories of your time at King’s?

I have good memories of the mixture of learning with great social fun, making friends and meeting a wide range of people both on my course and on other courses. I remember well some of the antics that we engineers got up to looking after (King’s mascot) Reggie.

How have you stayed connected to King’s since graduating, and why is being part of your alumni network important to you?

I have kept in touch through the King’s College London Engineering Association. I have found that this has enabled me to support both students and graduates.

How has the ability to understand and interact effectively with people from other cultures and/or backgrounds been important in your life or career?

I have always had the benefit of knowing people from different environments and backgrounds and enjoyed the great benefit of sharing experiences and knowledge with them. I have continuously found that there is a huge benefit in seeing and learning from other people's perspective on situations.

What advice would you give to students/alumni for success in life after King’s?

I believe that all students and graduates can benefit from being open to opportunities- try different things both in work and pleasure and learn what their strengths and weaknesses are and what aspects of work they enjoy and what they don't. All students should take the opportunity, while enjoying the social elements, to learn and experience as much as possible at King’s College London.
