Emma joined the PharosAI venture as a Research Fellow in Computational Biostatistics in September 2025. In this role, she is contributing to the development of bioinformatics pipelines for multiple datatypes being incorporated into the PharosAI platform.

A physicist-turned-bioinformatician, Emma's primary experience lies in the analysis of highly multiplexed cancer imaging data (imaging mass cytometry) and its integration with clinical and genomics (WES, RNAseq) datasets, which she previously explored in the context of both treatment-naive and pre-treated lung cancers.

Prior to joining PharosAI at KCL, Emma undertook her PhD and follow-on postdoctoral work at the Francis Crick Institute under the supervision of Cancer Research UK's former Chief Clinician, Professor Charles Swanton FRS. Prior to this, she undertook an Undergraduate Master's (MSci) degree in Natural Sciences (Physics) at Trinity College, Cambridge, and a postdoctoral Master's (MSc) in Data Science for Research in Health & Biomedicine at UCL.

Emma was a recipient of the Clinical Impact Award at the Owkin & Servier AI Hackathon for Glioblastoma Research in February 2025.
