Biography
Erfan Mohammadipoor is a PhD student in the Department of Engineering, King’s College London, under the supervision of Dr Laura Lander.
His research focuses on the design of innovative electrode materials for non-aqueous Aluminium-ion batteries, aiming to develop sustainable, high-performance energy storage systems. His work combines materials synthesis, advanced characterization, and electrochemical analysis to understand reaction mechanisms and establish design strategies for next-generation battery materials, with a growing interest in computational and data-driven approaches for materials discovery.
Prior to attending King’s College London, he obtained a Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Sharif University of Technology (SUT).
His broader research interests include electrochemistry, energy storage materials, materials chemistry, computational materials science, and machine learning for materials discovery, with a particular focus on developing sustainable materials for next-generation energy technologies
