Biography

I am a PhD student in Comparative Literature, focusing on the concept of "rupture" in the twentieth-century historical novel and in world literature theories. My research explores how historical novels reflect and construct narratives of disruption, continuity, and transformation, with particular attention to cross-cultural perspectives. My broader interests include time, the novel genre, narrative theory, literary history and the intersections of history and fiction.

Fan's research is supervised by Rosa Mucignat and Alice Xiang.
