Biography
Dr Faruk Ramadani is an Asthma UK Research Fellow in the Randall Centre for Cell & Molecular Biophysics within the School of Basic & Medical Biosciences. He obtained his PhD from Babraham Institute, University of Cambridge. During his PhD, he combined genetic and biochemical techniques to investigate the role of class IA PI3K catalytic isoforms in lymphocyte development and function. Faruk’s current research focuses on the development and maintenance of human IgE memory immune responses, which play a very important role in the pathogenesis of allergic disease, including asthma.
