Biography

Dr Fowzia Ibrahim is a Research Fellow in Medical Statistics within the Centre for Rheumatic Diseases unit, Department of Inflammation Biology. Her main research interests include imputation of missing composite outcome in trials, longitudinal modelling of disease biomarkers and time to event data, as well as clinical epidemiology of HIV and AIDS in the era of antiretroviral therapy. Fowzia is actively engaged in projects on network analysis in rheumatoid arthritis, the prognosis of multiple long term comorbidities in HIV patients, and biomarkers analysis in patients of African ancestry with HIV investigating heterogeneity of the genetic factors associated with CKD. She also enjoys developing simulation studies to evaluate and compare statistical methods. She is a Chartered Statistician and member of Royal Statistical Society and International Biometric Society.

Latent class modelling and network analyses
Text mining using natural language processing
Longitudinal repeated analyses
Statistical programming
