Biography

Dr Ge Yu joined King's College London as a Senior Lecturer in Health Economics in 2023, while also serving as an NIHR Senior Fellow. His research interests span the fields of statistical modelling of routinely collected health data and applied econometrics in health economics, with a focus on health technology assessment (HTA). His primary goal is to advance patient data-driven research and foster close collaboration between clinicians and academic researchers.

Ge received his education in economics at the Universities of Bristol and Bath, UK. Following this, he embarked on an ESRC postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Sheffield. Subsequently, he contributed his expertise as a statistician at the University of East London, a health economist at the University of Leeds, a lead health economist and statistician at the University of York, and a senior health economist at Newcastle University. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated a commitment to advancing the field of health economics and facilitating impactful research.
