Biography
Gemma has a degree in Theatre and Performance Design from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL from the University of Portsmouth. On Gemma's MA, her main areas of interest were materials development, English as a Lingua Franca and emerging varieties of English. Gemma has also completed the Cambridge CELTA and DELTA.
Gemma worked as an English Coordinator on a foundation year programme for Study Group in London and prior to that taught English in Greece, Mexico, Japan and Spain. In Spain, she also worked as a speaking examiner for the full suite of Cambridge ESOL exams.
In Gemma's free time she enjoys yoga, hiking and creative hobbies including calligraphy.
