Biography

George oversees the operational work related to Student Experience and Education processes, supporting the team and collaborating with the Programme Manager on process delivery and improvement. His responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing day-to-day workload of Programme Officers of student support/experience-related tasks
  • Organising induction, re-induction events and personal tutor allocations
  • Overseeing activities related to Student Engagement and Student Voice, including Student Staff Liaison Committees, student rep recruitment, NSS and PTES.
  • Overseeing interim feedback and end-of-module feedback survey processes
  • Overseeing Students of Concern (SoC) process
  • Coordinating work on student attendance, Visa compliance, changes of circumstances
  • Managing minor student support-related complaints, and supporting Programme Officers when dealing with complex student support-related queries
  • Sharing oversight of Timetabling process for the Department
  • Sharing oversight of DIETS and module allocation process for the Department
  • Responding to minor complaints related to taught and engagement activities
  • Deputising for the Programme Manager
  • Managing the Programme Officers in the Department of Engineering
