Biography

Georgina Williams is a PhD student at King’s College London and a qualified Children’s Nurse, having completed her nursing training at King’s in 2025. Prior to this, she obtained a BA in Politics and International Relations from the University of Kent in 2020. This interdisciplinary background informs her research approach, allowing her to examine health issues through both clinical and socio-political lenses.

Georgina's doctoral research explores the accessibility, effectiveness and inclusivity of UK public health messaging on paediatric burn first aid and prevention, with a particular focus on the adequacy of guidance for burns on darker skin tones. Through this work, she aims to contribute evidence-based recommendations to support the development of more representative, equitable, and impactful public health communication.
