Biography

Giorgia Ventimiglia joined King’s College London Language Centre in 2019. She holds a BA in Cultural Heritage (2009) and an MA in History of Art (2012) from the Università del Salento, Italy, as well as an MA in Arts and Cultural Management from King’s College London (2019). She speaks Italian, English, and French.

Before joining King’s, Giorgia worked in the Art and History Department Library of the Università del Salento and completed an internship at an antiquarian bookshop in her hometown. She began her career at the Language Centre as a Business Support Officer in the Language Resources Centre in 2019 and was appointed Senior Business Support Officer in 2022.

Giorgia oversees the day-to-day operations of the Language Resources Centre and provides HR support to both teaching and non-teaching staff within the department. She manages a team of two Business Support Officers and six Language Learning Advisors, ensuring the effective delivery of services to staff and students.

In addition, Giorgia coordinates the administration of bespoke training courses and supports the department’s marketing and financial activities. She also serves as the departmental Health and Safety Lead, offering guidance on agile working, compliance training, risk assessments, and other areas related to staff wellbeing and safe practice.
