Giovanni Sanna

Dr Giovanni Sanna qualified at the University of Rome in 1991 and did his specialist training in Rheumatology at the University of Cagliari, Italy. He completed his PhD in 2000. Giovanni was appointed as a Consultant Rheumatologist at the Louise Coote Lupus Unit, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in 2008, having previously worked as a Consultant Rheumatologist at the Homerton University Hospital since 2003. He has a special interest in systemic lupus erythematosus and other autoimmune connective tissue diseases, antiphospholipid syndrome and myositis. Most of his research and publications relate to clinical manifestations and management of neurologic disease in lupus and antiphospholipid syndrome.
