Biography

Dr. Gülüm Özer is a Lecturer at King’s College London, specialising in organisational psychology with a focus on workplace bullying. She holds a Ph.D. in Social and Organisational Psychology from the University of Barcelona and has extensive professional experience in finance and administration with international companies.

Her research, recognised with awards and published in leading journals, examines the psychological impacts of workplace bullying on both perpetrators and victims. Dr. Özer is actively involved in academic committees and teaches at both King’s College London, UK and Istanbul Bilgi University, Turkey. She is a member of key professional organisations and is fluent in Turkish and English.

Dr. Gülüm Özer supervises PhD students and welcomes those who are passionate about stopping workplace bullying perpetration.

Applied Research & Collaboration

Gülüm Özer leads the Organisational Wellbeing Lab, an applied initiative that brings together UK-based HR professionals, business leaders, and founders with MSc students and alumni from King’s College London’s Organisational Psychiatry & Psychology programme. The initiative provides partner organisations with bespoke research into workplace challenges and co-developed, evidence-based wellbeing strategies. It aims to deliver measurable improvements in organisational performance, culture, and employee resilience—at no cost to participating organisations—while offering valuable, internship opportunities for students and alumni involved in each project.
