Biography
Hashem Zarehoseini is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Engineering at King’s College London.
He has over two decades of experience in the semiconductor and integrated circuit electronics industry. Throughout his industry journey, he has worked in a range of roles—from researcher and engineer to technical director—at companies including Cambridge Silicon Radio (CSR, acquired by Qualcomm in 2015), Huawei UK Research Centre, Hanwha Phasor, and, currently, MediaTek. His work has spanned in areas such as non-terrestrial networks (NTN), SatCom terminals and phased arrays, cellular 6G/5G/LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, and Audio technologies.
Hashem’s work involves mmWave, RF, analog, and mixed-signal IC engineering, including circuit and system design, architecture and IP creation, product and roadmap definition, and technology development. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and has authored and co-authored several IEEE conference and journal articles and holds more than 20 US patents in semiconductor circuits and systems.
Alongside his industry roles, Hashem is actively involved in academia, motivated by both his interest in education and the value of connecting academic research with industry practice. He served as a visiting lecturer and professor at universities and has initiated university-industry programmes focused on collaborative development.
