Biography

Helen Tang joined King’s College London Language Centre in 2006. She completed a BA in English Language and Literature at Liaoning University, China (1994), an MA in Applied Linguistics at the University of Luton, UK (2004), and a Diploma in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language at SOAS, UK (2006).

Between 2006 and 2008, she taught evening courses and the Mandarin for Cantonese Speakers module. Since 2010, she has been teaching across the Language Centre’s provision, including module courses, short courses, and London Business School courses.

Her research interests include the analysis of Chinese characters and efficiency in teaching Chinese characters with the communicative approach.
