Henrique is the Technical Manager (Education) in the Faculty of Natural Mathematical & Engineering Sciences.

With a foundation in mechanical engineering, he has an innovative approach to problem-solving. He has extensive work experience and expertise in product development, manufacturing tools, machinery, continuous improvement techniques, and work control skills.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of senior technicians, working closely with academic staff and professional services to support the department's educational, focusing on fostering a collaborative environment that enhances innovation and teaching.
• Provide comprehensive support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of teaching and research laboratories within the Department of Engineering. Oversee all aspects of laboratory management, including equipment maintenance and repair, inventory control, and safety compliance.
• Develop training materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and risk assessments (RAs) for shared equipment while also offering hands-on training and supervision to faculty staff, researchers and students. This ensures that all users are able to do so with competence.
