Biography
Holly is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Geography, working on the Plumbing Poverty project led by Professor Katie Meehan. The project draws on social reproduction, urban political ecology and racial capitalism, coupled with ethnographic and census-based research, to investigate why household water insecurity arises and persists in wealthy cities and countries across the Global North.
Holly holds a PhD from the University of West London (Wellcome-Trust funded). Her thesis explored the political economy of pregnancy through a Marxist feminist framework. She is also a member of the Gender, Work, Technology research cluster headed by Professor Helen Hester and Dr Nick Srnicek that takes place across King's and University of West London.
