Biography

Howard Ellis is the Lead Research Cardiac Physiologist (Invasive) at St Thomas’ Hospital and an NHS associated staff member of the Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine. Since qualifying as a Cardiac Physiologist in 2011 while working at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, he has developed a particular interest in interventional cardiac physiology. In 2013 he accepted a Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) funded post at St Thomas’ Hospital as Research Cardiac Physiologist. He subsequently became Lead Cardiac Physiologist (invasive) at St Thomas’ before taking up his current BRC post as Lead Research Cardiac Physiologist, working with the Coronary Research Group on a broad spectrum of academic projects associated with coronary haemodynamics and physiology.
