Biography

Iona joined King’s College London in January 2025 as a Research Assistant in the Department of Addictions. During this time, she worked on the RESCU2 study, a project evaluating the feasibility and acceptability of a wearable biosensor designed to detect and respond to opioid overdose.

She is currently a Research Assistant with the Energetics and Glutamate in Schizophrenia (EAGLES) study team in the Department of Psychosis Studies.

Iona completed a Master’s degree in Neuroscience at King’s College London in 2024. Prior to this, she gained a Bachelor’s degree from Trinity College Dublin in 2020 and an MSc from the University of Exeter in 2021. Before joining King’s College London, she worked in the homeless services sector.
