
Biography
Iqra joined the department of Population Health Services as a Research Assistant after completing her MSc in Health Psychology at Kings College London. Iqra currently works in the Section of Population Health, working on a variety of projects relating to youth health. She is currently working on a project with the London Boroughs of Newham, Lewisham, Camden, and Islington - focusing on policy implementation and adaptations during Covid-19 relating to nutrition and physical activity in children.

Health Inequalities, Societies and Systems
Central to our research is understanding and tackling the systemic and intersecting drivers of disparities in health over the life course such as racism, gender, crime, precarious livelihoods, environmental pollution, and inaccessible health care. We work collaboratively across the School of Life Course and Population Sciences to strengthen the theoretical aspects of population health research.
