Biography

Isabel Sainz-Ezquerra was born in northern Spain. She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Anglo-American Literature and Linguistics from the University of Valladolid in 1991 and gained an MA in Applied Linguistics from the same university in 1993. At the beginning of her professional career in 1994, Isabel worked as a Visiting Lecturer in several UK university departments of Spanish and Latin American Studies. Alongside her visiting lecturer appointments, she continued her education in the UK by gaining an MA in Visual Cultures and a PostDip in Educational Studies (Language, Culture and Identity) from Goldsmiths’ College, University of London. In 2002, she joined the King's Language Centre, King’s College London, where she teaches Spanish across different levels and programmes. Isabel also is a translator from English into Spanish within the areas of the Humanities, Art and Visual Cultures and Cross-Cultural Studies.
