Biography
I have a Biological Sciences degree and have always been interested in the genetic mechanisms of disease. I have done my Master’s and PhD in Brazil, and then moved to the UK for my first Postdoc, which was done at the University of Cambridge and at the Crick. I am now excited about continuing my Treg and autoimmunity work in Graham Lord’s lab at KCL.
My project focuses on mapping the intestine at single-cell and spatial resolution following regulatory T cell infusion in patients with chronic inflammation as part of the TRIBUTE trial. The aim is to identify novel therapeutics approaches for chronic inflammation, with an emphasis on unique tissue-specific responses of individuals and advancing personalised health medicine.
