Biography
Isel Aleida Hernandez Perez is a clinical teacher with a diverse international background in nursing and education. She was born in Cuba, where she trained as an anaesthetic nurse and later progressed to a lecturer role.
She subsequently worked as an emergency department nurse in Trinidad and Tobago, where she was also involved in teaching clinical skills to trauma nurses.
Since relocating to London, Isel has completed the North Central London Intensive Care Course. This has expanded her practice across high‑acuity areas and strengthened her ability to support learners in complex clinical environments.In her current role, she combines direct patient care with bedside teaching, supporting students and junior staff to connect theory with practice and to develop critical thinking skills.Education has always been central to her professional development. Joining King’s College London’s nursing and midwifery team as Clinical teacher in Adult Nursing represents an opportunity for her to integrate her clinical expertise, commitment to evidence‑based practice, and passion for developing the next generation of nurses.
