Biography

Isobel is a Research Associate in the Experimental Government Team (XGT) at the Policy Institute, where she works on social policy evaluation projects. Since joining King’s, she has delivered evaluations for organisations including the Centre for Homelessness Impact, the Youth Endowment Fund, and the Ministry of Housing, Communities, and Local Government.

Lots of her work focuses on homelessness and housing interventions. She has evaluated cash transfer programmes for people in temporary accommodation and young people leaving the care system, as well as an AI-powered chatbot designed to provide housing advice before individuals reach crisis point.

Alongside this, Isobel is the implementation co-lead for the Police in Schools Trial, a randomised controlled trial assessing the impact of police officers teaching PSHE in schools. She is a mixed-methods researcher with a specialism in qualitative research and has led interviews and focus groups with children, local government staff, and people experiencing homelessness.

Before joining King’s, Isobel worked in consulting, where she provided behavioural science expertise to financial services and telecommunications organisations and ran trials. She holds an MSc in the Psychology of Economic Life from the London School of Economics and a BA in Psychological and Behavioural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
