Biography

Jana is an experienced research operations professional with a strong background in programme coordination and stakeholder engagement across higher education and health research environments. She joined King’s College London in 2024 and currently supports the delivery of the NIHR INSIGHT Programme South London and operational functions within King’s Clinical Academic Training Office (KCATO), helping to advance clinical academic career pathways for health professionals.

With a Master’s in Organisational Psychology and over a decade of experience in higher education, Jana brings a proactive, detail-oriented approach to managing complex programmes and fostering collaborative partnerships. Her previous roles at Birkbeck, University of London included leading business operations for PhD programmes and research activities, managing studentship budgets, and supporting strategic initiatives across multiple departments.

Jana is known for her calm efficiency, collaborative spirit, and ability to juggle complex responsibilities with care and precision. She is passionate about inclusive leadership and continuous improvement. She is a participant in the Future Leaders Plus Programme, which supports working parents in progressing to senior leadership roles. Her key strengths include problem solving, organisation, planning, communication, and time management, underpinned by a growth mindset and commitment to lifelong learning.
