Biography
Working in a team of four other technicians we receive people who have donated their bodies after death to medical education. My job is to care for these people through the entirety of their journey with us at King's, ensuring that the wishes of each donor are respected. In this role I serve the students and faculty across many disciplines including medicine, physiotherapy, dentistry, sports and exercise, and biomedical sciences.
In addition, myself and the team provide the facilities and specimens for research undertaken here, with other universities, and with surgeons. My colleagues and I set the bar high, insisting on respect for our donors and adherence to codes of conduct, as that is what one does to maintain the status of a dissecting room in a world class university.
