Jason Freeman is a barrister at the CMA, where he is a legal director. He has extensive experience of enforcing consumer law, both under the new DMCCA regime, and for many years previously under the Enterprise Act 2002, including on numerous reported litigated cases.

He worked on the CMA's direct consumer enforcement policy, and the development of the consumer aspects of the DMCCA during its passage through Parliament.

He is a contributor to Kirk and Lewin's Consumer and Trading Standards Law and Practice, for which he writes chapters on unfair terms, unfair commercial practices, civil enforcement and territoriality.
