Biography

Jeremy Cook OBE is the Senior Vice President (Operations)/Chief Operating Officer of King’s College London. He is responsible for the smooth conduct of the operations of the University, including overall services and operations strategy, structures, processes, and delivery along with continuous quality improvement and innovation.

Jeremy joined King’s in March 2025 after nearly six years at the University of Durham where he served as Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Colleges and Student Experience).

During his time at Durham, Jeremy oversaw a major period of growth and transformation, significantly enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of student operations, processes and services as well as overseeing multiple infrastructure projects. Notably, Jeremy led a pan-university review of Durham’s Student Support system which led to an enhanced support service and associated IT systems placing students at their heart.

Prior to working in higher education, Jeremy held leadership positions in the Ministry of Defence and British Army, where he was Deputy Director of the Army’s Collective Training Transformation Programme and led the Army’s Strategic Training Governance Review.

He was also responsible for coordinating overseas operational planning and the security support for the London 2012 Olympic Games for which he was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE).
