Biography
Jessica joined the School of Security Studies in July 2017 as the School Research Officer before moving into the Centre for Grand Strategy as Head of Operations in 2019. In 2021 Jessica became Deputy Research Manager where she works alongside research leads to develop the school research portfolio, funding strategy and provide pre and post award support. In addition to managing a portfolio of grants, Jessica identifies and promotes opportunities for research funding and supports the development, writing and submission of research proposals.
Jessica previously held research and consultancy positions for a number of arts and cultural organisations including the British Council and University of the Arts London. She graduated from Konstfack School of Art & Design (Stockholm) in 2012, and later from the Transnational Research Centre for Art, Identity and Nation (London) with a PhD in Visual Culture and Political Ecology with a regional focus on the Arctic.
