Biography
Dr John Taylor is Chair of the Advisory Board at the King's Institute for Artificial Intelligence at King's College London.
In this role, he works with leaders across academia, industry and government to strengthen collaboration, support the Institute's external engagement and help translate AI research into real-world impact.
With more than 25 years of experience spanning strategy consulting, technology leadership and AI innovation, he advises organisations on AI adoption and technology strategy, with a particular interest in how emerging technologies shape organisations, work and society.
John is Founder of Sentio AI Advisory, where he works with organisations on AI strategy and implementation. He also serves on the AI Council of Fitch Group, supporting the application and governance of AI within financial services.
Previously, John was Chief Executive Officer of an AI technology company and has held leadership roles across technology and consulting in both the UK and the United States. Earlier in his career, he led Professor Michael Porter's Inner City 100 programme, a Harvard Business School initiative supporting high-growth businesses across the UK.
At King's, he works to strengthen connections between research, policy and practice, with a focus on AI governance, leadership, entrepreneurship, workforce transformation and responsible innovation.
John holds a DPhil from the University of Oxford, where he also studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE). He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA).
