Biography

Jon Zehner was appointed an independent member of the College Council in August 2024. He is also Chair of the Estates Strategy Committee.

Jon is Vice Chairman of LaSalle, a global real estate investment manager. In his more than 12 years at LaSalle his roles have also included Global Head of the Client Capital Group and Head of Global Partner Solutions. Throughout his time at LaSalle he has been member of its Global Management Committee. Jon spent 28 years at JPMorgan in a variety of roles including Global Head of Real Estate Investment Banking and Head of sub-Saharan Africa. He has lived and worked in New York, Johannesburg, and London.

Jon currently serves as Chair of the University of Cambridge’s Department of Land Economy Advisory Board, and Independent Non-Executive Director of Vukile Property Fund (a Johannesburg Stock Exchange listed REIT), Chair of African Parks Foundation UK and a member of the Board of Governors of Arnold House School, a preparatory school in St. John’s Wood. In previous roles, he served as European Chair and a member of the Global Board of the Urban Land Institute (“ULI”) and was a co-Founder and Executive Committee Member of the European Public Real Estate Association (“EPRA”).

He holds an AB degree from Dartmouth and an MBA from Harvard.
