Joshua is a Senior Technician (Operations) in the Department of Chemistry. He oversees the management of departmental HPLC instruments, flash chromatography systems, freeze dryers and solvent purification systems, in addition to contributing to core services within the department.

Prior to this Joshua held postdoctoral research positions in the groups of Dr Darren Griffith at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and Professor Eoin Scanlan at Trinity College Dublin. He has also lectured introductory synthetic organic chemistry at Technological University Dublin. His research interests include synthetic methodology development, peptide synthesis and inorganic medicinal chemistry.

Joshua holds an MChem in Chemistry from the University of Surrey, which included a research internship at Sapienza Università di Roma, and a PhD in Chemistry from Trinity College Dublin.
