Dr Judith Skillen is a Lecturer in Private Law at The Dickson Poon School of Law. Her research and teaching interests lie in the law of obligations.

Judith was previously an Assistant Professor in Law at the University of Nottingham (2019-2026), and before that she was a Teaching Fellow at King's (2016-2019). She has degrees in Law from the University of Cambridge (BA (Hons), Queen's University Belfast (LLM) and the University of Bristol (PhD).

Judith currently has capacity to take on PhD supervisions. 

Research interests 

Judith's research interests lie in the law of obligations, and she has published on aspects of causation, pure economic loss in the law of tort, as well as privacy protection. Recently, her research was cited by the Supreme Court of Canada.

Currently Judith's principal research project focuses on the law of privacy and remedies.
