I am Executive Assistant to Prof Ricardo Araya, lead of Global Mental Health Research Group, having joined in December 2017. I have worked in the Health Service and Population Research Department since December 2015, previously as EA to the Head of Department.
My role entails management of Ricardo’s agenda and appointments, international travel and expenses. I assist the Business Support Manager with centre-related tasks, such as the organisation of seminars, lectures, interview panels and research group meetings, as well as support with pre-awards approvals and accounts budget monitoring.
I am currently organising a large conference celebrating the 10-year anniversary of Centre for Global Mental Health.
I regularly update the KCL webpages for my department and research group on Contensis.
I organise and disseminate lectures, often across multiple departments, which are open to the university community and the general public. I am my Research Group’s Diversity & Inclusion representative and a departmental Fire Marshall. I have worked as a volunteer at the King’s College London Open Day for new undergraduate students.
I hold a BA degree in Modern Languages at Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Brazil (2003); a Cambridge Proficiency in English Diploma (2008) and I am currently studying for a Diploma in Translation at the Chartered Institute of Linguists (exams due in January 2020) alongside work.
