I am Senior Data & Governance Manager in the School of Life Course & Population Health Sciences. My official job title is Senior Data Manager but I go by the title with Governance in it to differentiate between a standard Data Manager and the role that I fulfil. I have worked for the School of Life Course & Population Health Sciences, formerly as School Data & Governance Manager, as Senior IT Officer and previously worked with King's IT in the 2nd line team. I joined King's in 2014. I support the Schools data, technical infrastructure and research computing needs. Since November 2023 my primary responsibility is ensuring we're getting the most out of School data, ensuring it is secure and treated appropriately and assisting with external governance requirements such as NHS Digital Data Security Protection Toolkits. This includes research information governance, compliance and data risk assessments. I'm a departmental telecoms coordinator with responsibility for units smartphones and tablets.
