Biography

Dr Kate de Contreras is Lecturer in Property and Trusts (Education) in The Dickson Poon School of Law, King's College London. 

She joined King’s as a lecturer in 2020, having previously taught at Coventry University, Durham University and Trinity College Dublin. Kate holds an LL.B. and a Ph.D. from the University of Dublin (TCD). She gives lectures and tutorials on Property and Trusts Law. She has also previously taught Contract Law and Private Law Remedies.

Kate was nominated for a King’s Education Award in 2020 and in 2021. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

She was raised in Dublin and Seville, and she is bilingual in English and Spanish. Outside of legal academia, she enjoys other books, deadlifts, guitar, and the theatre.
