Biography
My role is a unique one within the School, with over-sight over all preclinical work conducted therein. I am a key point of contact with the Home Office/inspector and all staff engaged in preclinical research (internal and collaborators).
I have an awareness of all Project Licences in use within the School, to ensure compliance, maintenance of the highest standards of ethical and scientific experimental design and animal welfare. I offer a range of knowledge and experience, such as biomolecule and cell labelling, radiochemistry, animal handling, operation of a variety of imaging modalities and preclinical biological evaluation skills.
I hold legal responsibilities as a Home Office Project Licence holder, Personal Licence holder as well a Radiation Protection Supervisor. I am the current Chair of the Waterloo Campus AWERB and Co-Chair of the London AWERB hub. I am a member of the School's DDI committee, Lead of the BMEIS Professional Services Working group and a member of the FOLSM Professional services Career and Development Working group.
