Biography

Ken obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Southampton, and continued there for his PhD in the High Energy Physics group, supervised by Proessor Stefano Moretti. Before arriving at King's Theoretical Particle Physics & Cosmology group, he spent time as a PDRA in the Theoretical Particle Physics group at the University of Sussex and as a PDRA and Marie Sklodowska Curie Fellow in the Centre for Cosmology and Particle Physics Phenomenology at UCLouvain in Belgium.

Research interests

  • Collider phenomenology of the Standard Model (SM) and beyond.
  • Effective field theories as probe for new physics phenomena, including the SM effective field theory (SMEFT), dark matter and Axion-like particles.
  • Precision calculations and Monte Carlo simulation tools for beyond-SM collider physics.
  • Extended scalar sectors and their impact the electroweak phase transition, the baryon asymmetry of the universe and associated collider signatures.

Research

Physics telescope
Theoretical Particle Physics & Cosmology

The research focus of the TPPC Group is on tests of new models of particle physics beyond the Standard Model, including supersymmetry, large extra dimensions and strings.
