Biography

Kevin is a Lecturer in Widening Participation within the Department of Adult Nursing. He is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and holds an MA (summa cum laude) and a BSc (magna cum laude) in Nursing. Kevin brings a robust clinical background, specialising in respiratory care, within acute and public healthcare settings in the UK and internationally.

In addition to his academic role, Kevin actively engages in promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion. He is a trained Professional Nurse Advocate (PNA) and serves as one of the national PNA leads for international recruitment at NHS England. As a Cultural Ambassador, he champions an inclusive culture for the international nursing workforce within the NHS, for which he won the 2021 Making-a-Difference Award from the Royal College of Nursing.

Before joining King’s, Kevin was a Senior Lecturer and International Lead for Nursing at the University of Worcester. His innovative support for international students led to his recognition as a University Educator of the Year finalist at the Students Nursing Times Awards in 2024.
