Lara is the Senior Impact Manager in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Public Policy, bringing near a decade of expertise in impact as a research support manager and consultant. For REF2021, she supported some the sector’s strongest impact case studies in the arts; shortly after she began supporting impact in the social sciences and has never looked back.

In her role, Lara supports impact across SSPP, supporting, building capacity for, and championing impactful research in all its forms.

Lara’s academic background is in the medical humanities. She is a feminist historian of early modern medicine, plague and women health practitioners. She occasionally appears on television, radio and podcasts as an expert in these areas
