Lauren started as the Senior Programme Officer (ITT) supporting our PGCE programmes at the School of Education, Communication & Society in December 2024. Prior to this she worked as a Senior Programme Officer in the Dickson Poon Law School at King’s, after having worked as a Primary School Teacher Responsibilities Lauren works closely with the PGCE Programmes Officers, Subject Directors, Tutors and the Programme Director to ensure the efficient administration of the PGCE programme and is primarily responsible for organising school placements in the Greater London area for all trainees.

Her daily responsibilities include:

• Working with Subject Directors and the Programme Director to design and plan the teacher training programme
• Supporting the School Business Manager with the financial administration of the programmes including providing data for all payments to schools and student bursaries
• Liaising with academic colleagues in allocating students to placement school, and organising mentor training and mentor resources
• Supporting the Director of Initial Teacher Education with the organisation of the annual partnership management conference and minute partnership management committees.
