Leanne Dreyer is a Wellcome Doctoral Clinical Research Fellow in the Department of Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience and a Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist at Evelina London Children's Hospital, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.

Leanne joined King's College London in 2025 to undertake her doctoral research project, titled ‘Framework for Optimising Care Using a modular Support package for Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder’ (FOCUS-ARFID). She is supervised by Dr Sophie Bennett, Professor Vicky Slonims, Dr Rachel Bryant-Waugh and Annemarie Sims.

Her research focuses on improving evidence-based care for children and young people with ARFID. Through implementation science and translational research methods, she is developing and evaluating a modular support package designed to support the delivery of high-quality, individualised care within NHS services. Her work aims to ensure the support package is clinically feasible, acceptable to children, young people, families and clinicians, and readily implemented into routine practice.

Leanne works clinically within the Evelina London paediatric Occupational Therapy service, providing occupation-focused assessment and support for children with ARFID and complex neurodevelopmental conditions.

She holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Brighton and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) from the University of South Australia. She has practised as a paediatric Occupational Therapist across Australia, the Netherlands and England.
