Biography

Dr Liesl Wandrag is the Clinical Lead Dietitian for Critical Care at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. She leads a team of ICU dietitians and the nutrition service to Critical Care for a ~ 85-bedded ICU. She served on the BDA Critical Care Specialist Group as Research Officer from 2017-2021. She was awarded an NIHR funded PhD at Imperial College London in 2013 looking at inflammatory and nutritional changes during critical illness. She is a member of the Xtreme Everest Research team and participated in several research expeditions to high altitude. She serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Intensive Care Society. She also volunteers for Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) as a Telemedicine volunteer for adult nutrition in surgery and critical illness.
